The church is meant to be a bright light on a hillside. And that happens as each of us pursues a growing thriving relationship with our God through the Holy Spirit. We must fan the flame on our worship and our walk … all for His glory. Fan in spite of trial. Fan with Truth. Fan with testimony.
When our hearts experience the amazing, the other, the different, the divine … we sing! We express with word and song the joys and wonders in front of us. Can you imagine the emotion and passion of the Songs of the first Christmas?
As we seek to rebuild this church one step at a time, just what is our target? What does a healthy church look like? Let’s follow the blueprint of a church on fire as detailed in 1 Timothy. May God get all the glory!
Our love of our God is shown in how we spend our time and our treasure. What we cling to is what we worship. May our clinging to our God and our spending of our time and treasure, reflect our praise of God and the one true God!
Biblical Hope is absolute certainty in the future we have in Jesus Christ. Our souls long for that protection, provision, care and certainty. We can only find that hope as we learn to take our many hurts and lay them at His feet. That is finding … Hope that Heals.
How would you have responded if you met Jesus right after He rose again? Can you imagine? Jesus death and resurrection is the turning point in all of scripture. He is our life. Our hope. May we drop to our knees … and take hold!
Experiencing our God is a great privilege – a summit like experience. Each step of each day with our God is a Summit Walk. We must step out boldly, purposefully, and worshipfully. The key to a Summit Walk is in each God honoring step!
