What is it?

Owned and operated by Easterseals Central Illinois, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is the premier resource in the state of Illinois for providing specialized outdoor recreational, experiential and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses in a fun, safe and accessible environment. https://www.timberpointeoutdoorcenter.com

What will I be doing?

  • Spreading mulch, trail clean-up
  • Arts and crafts prep (lots of cutting)
  • Painting

What do I need to bring?

  • Work gloves
  • Safety glasses (if desired)
  • Leaf rakes/steel garden rakes
  • Wheelbarrow if available
  • Pressure washer (optional, but helpful)

CHILDREN'S HOME // SCOTT'S PRAIRIE FARM (CAPACITY: 25)

What is it?

The Children’s Home Association of Illinois provides community support services to at-risk youth, the people who love and care for them, and the people who no longer can. 
Scott’s Prairie is a 70-acre farm that offers educational, recreational, and therapeutic experiences for the youth we serve.

What will I be doing?

  • Working in greenhouse, tomato cages
  • Planning flower beds, vegetables and herbs
  • Weeding
  • Other outdoor work

What do I need to bring?

  • Clothes that can get dirty
  • Gloves

What is it? 
East Peoria Clean Sweep is where we spend the morning caring for our local neighborhoods, demonstrating good stewardship while enhancing the character of our community. https://www.cityofeastpeoria.com/330/East-Peorias-Clean-Sweep

What will I be doing?
You will be sprucing up the city of East Peoria by picking up trash and debris!

What do I need to bring?

  • Please bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty, work gloves, and good walking shoes.

GREAT OAKS (CAPACITY: 40)

What is it?

Great Oaks is a Christian camp and retreat center in central Illinois. They fully fund low-income youths to attend summer camp, and they also host groups throughout the year. Summit Point has attended Great Oaks for both Fuel Summer Camp and Ignite Summer Camp.

What will I be doing?

  • Trail clearing
  • Pond prep
  • Tree/branch removal

What do I need to bring?

  • Outdoor work gloves
  • Brush/branch trimmers if you have them
  • Chainsaws
  • Steel garden rakes
  • Shovels
  • Wheelbarrows
