WORSHIP TEAM

EXPECTATIONS: 

• You can’t lead people where you have never gone yourself. Accordingly, you must have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. 

• We need faithful players and singers who are excited about the vision and direction of our church. Therefore, you must be committed to Summit Point as your church home.  

• We believe that our Worship Team members need to be modeling a life of growth and transformation, so you must be in or actively pursuing being in a Summit Point Impact Group. 

• We are intentionally pursuing an “undistracted excellence” that allows our Worship Team to remain transparent while God is made famous. With that in mind, you must be able to take honest feedback, and have a desire to grow both spiritually and musically. 

• We need musicians who are both spiritually mature and musically solid. Accordingly, we will hold auditions 2-3 times each year in order to find these musicians.   

• Our Worship Team is spread out among many ministries within the church. We need people who are willing to serve in our Worship Choir, Young Adult, Student, and Children’s Ministries as well as Sunday mornings. 

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

1. Decide if Summit Point is your church home. If you have only been coming a short while, or are unsure yet if Summit Point is your church, we would suggest waiting to audition.   

2. Fill out the WORSHIP TEAM APPLICATION. If you are a student in our Fuse, Fuel, or Ignite ministries, please fill out the STUDENT WORSHIP TEAM APPLICATION.

3. The next Worship Team auditions will be held soon. You will be contacted to set up a time for your audition.

4. Following the audition, you will be contacted within two weeks to let you know whether or not you are being invited to join the Worship Team, and to give you honest feedback as to where you might best be serving at Summit Point.
